Locked Room Mystery
I feel I am in a locked room mystery,
not able to go out and explore the world.
I must stay inside as I heal,
no contact with the outside.
I only know there are things going on
in a world I cannot directly be part of,
as I listen to the news,
the local and national happenings,
the weather,
but still, things, once commonplace,
have lost their familiarization.
I sit inside, waiting for this to end
so I can re-explore the universe
to determine what makes me tick,
even if it is only for
walks in the neighborhood,
trips to the store to buy groceries.
I know my life is not sitting around,
surrounded by four walls
as the world continues to move forward.
